Lab Report on Basic Water Properties I (2017)
Dissolved oxygen is the amount of gaseous oxygen dissolved in water. Dissolved oxygen analysis measured the amount of oxygen dissolved in an aqueous solution. The purpose of the experiment is to determine the dissolved oxygen (DO) level in the lake water sample and ascertain whether the lake water sample comply with Malaysian Water Standards.
Lab Report on Preparation of Soap and Properties Comparison with Synthetics Detergent (2017)
Soaps and detergents are used frequently in our daily life. There is a significant difference between them where the soaps are produced from the natural products while the detergents are synthetic or man-made. The objectives of the experiment is to prepare soap and compare its properties to that of a synthetics detergent.
Lab Report on Determining The Molar Concentration Of Acetic Acid in Vinegar by Titration (2017)
The main objectives of the experiment is to determine the molarity of acetic acid and the percent by mass of acetic acid in the vinegar solution by titration with the standardized sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution.
Lab Report on Determination of The Ka Value Of A Weak Acid (2017)
The main purpose of the experiment is to find the Ka and identify the identity of the unknown acid solution. 15mL of 0.1M unknown acid solution is diluted with 35mL distilled water producing 0.03M of unknown acid solution. Standardized NaOH solution is added 1 mL by 1mL into the dilute unknown acid solution.
Assignment Pilot Plant Visit Technical Report Summary (2016)
Raw material used in the pilot plant to produced methyl ester or also known as biodiesel is RBD Palm Oil which is cooking oil. RBD stands from refining, bleaching and deodorize. So, in this pilot plant, the RBD cooking will react with methanol in the reactor tank with the presence of catalyst which is, sodium methoxide to form methyl ester or biodiesel.
Technical Lab Report On Rotary Evaporator (2016)
This report presents the separation of milk solution with the Rotary Evaporator . the Rotary Evaporator operates under vacuum condition of 200 mbar pressure and 100 rpm rotation which helps in separating the milk solution faster. This experiment was conducted to study the effect of temperature on the rate of evaporation of milk solution.
Assignment Report On Biofuels (2016)
Biodiesel is a renewable fuel because of the raw material such as vegetable oil, animal fat and waste oil is literally not depleted for long-term period. Besides, the raw materials are capable of being renewed and there are a lot of sources for the biodiesel production since it comes from plant-based [1][2] and animal fat-based [2].
Lab Report Manual Control Flow Measurement Control System (2016)
The objectives for the simulation are mainly for obtaining the fundamental concept of process control system and to perform set point step test and load disturbance test to observes and determine the P, I and D behavior towards the process response curves.
Lab Report Effect of Temperature On The Reaction in a CSTR (2015)
This experiment can also help us to calculate the reactant conversion based on the conductivity calibration curve and to verify the reaction order obtained from the hypothesis of the experiment using graphical and analytical techniques. This experiment was conducted with the equipment from SOLTEQ® Liquid Phased Stirred Tank Reactor (Model: BP 100).
Lab Report Effect of Residence Time On The Reaction in TFR (2015)
This experiment is conducted to determine the rate law using tubular flow reactor data and to demonstrate the temperature dependence of the reaction and the rate constant. This experiment are conducted in the SOLTEQ® Tubular Flow Reactor (Model: BP 101).
Innovation on Food Preservation (Brine Innovation) (2018)
For this experiment, we are choosing pickling method. Pickling is one of the methods in preservation where it is about extending the shelf life of food and beverages. Pickling with salt and sugar solution is the easier way to do and among oldest method of preservation.
Lab Report Flowmeter Measurement Apparatus FM101 (2015)
SOLTEQ® Flowmeter Measurement Apparatus (Model: FM101) is designed to measure a flow of an incompressible fluid. From this experiment, we will obtain the flow rate measurement with comparison of pressure drop by utilizing three basic types of flow measuring techniques; ratometer, venture meter and orifice meter.
Lab Report Solteq Flow Over Weirs FM26 (2015)
The Flow over Weirs experiment was conducted to investigate the characteristics of flow over a rectangular notch and triangular notch. The difference in flow rate of water that flows into both of the channel was observed. Other than that, the experiment was capable to study the discharge coefficient of fluid flow that determined by calculation of this experiment.
